TRADUZIONE
Cultivating Respiratory Health: The Protective Effect of Vitamin C on the Offspring of Pregnant Smokers
The clinical study by McEvoy et al 2023 showed that children whose mothers received vitamin C (500 mg/day) had significantly improved airway function at age 5 years, as measured by forced expiratory flow and a reduction in wheezing.
The study, which included 213 children of 251 #pregnant smokers, suggests that vitamin C supplementation during pregnancy in smokers may mitigate the adverse effects of smoking on airway function and childhood respiratory #health.

My point:
Smoking is very bad for your health, and I encourage all smokers, and especially pregnant women, to quit smoking to protect the health of their unborn child.
If you can’t quit, limiting the number of cigarettes you smoke may be a partial remedy.
Vitamin C supplementation and a #healthy #diet may be beneficial for both mother and fetus.
Finally, I would like to remind you that Acerola is a natural source of vitamin C, which has advantages over synthetic vitamin C.
